This is all for Tadashi's sake, not Callaghan's. It does help that he's seen the footage so far and thus has no reason to believe that the professor would harm his brother. If anything, it looked as though they were good friends. (There's a stab through Hiro's heart, but he's grateful that his brother had someone in there, even Cal.)
