[ it is better than the distress. if lance were an entirely altruistic kind of guy he would tell keith they should at least talk to allura and the other paladins, so they know keith is... well, here. definitely not all right.

but lance is not entirely an altruistic person and he wants to kiss keith again, so. he nods after a second, bouncing on the balls of his feet. ]

Mine? It's closer.

[ by like, a matter of a few feet but whatever. ]

[whatsacactus]

[It's a few feet they don't have to walk, so Keith nods, gives Lance's hand a squeeze.]

Yours then.

[Keith isn't even sure what they're doing or going to do because this is impulse entirely, for something he didn't even let himself do with Shiro, so Lance doesn't have to ask twice before he's at the training room door waiting, a nervous ball of energy coiling tight again but without the anger this time.]

[ that keith holds onto his hand for so long actually surprises lance a tiny bit, but it's not a bad surprise. he returns the squeeze before they let go. lance is quick on keith's heels when they head towards the exit.

it's quiet on the ship, of course, but lance knows his way from the training room to his room by heart. he's a little nervous too because he's - well, he's kissed a girl once or twice. not anything much more than that but he's always said he knows how to treat someone right.

will keith expect something amazing? should lance tell him?

stop overthinking it, lance tells himself in his own head, and without thinking he nudges his shoulder against keith's when they're closer to his room, but doesn't say or do anything more before he reaches his door and opens it. ]

C'mon in. Don't break anything.

[ this last line is something of a tease, a little grin on his face. act normal. only there's kissing too. ]

Like what, your pride?

[He's trying to joke, something he's started trying to do now that he has an inkling of who he is. Less unanswered questions about himself. But sure, he steps in and takes stock of the room he never even got to glimpse inside of.

And he can tell Lance definitely lives in this room. He knows from their routine team mind-melding that Lance isn't. Exactly truthful about his experience,but he isn't sure if Lance ever picked through Keith's memories... Because he's realizing this is Happening and he's suddenly a lot more nervous.]

So- I mean. [Breathe. This just happened really fast and he's been an emotional wreck throughout all of it.]

Are you sure about this.

Ha-ha, it'll take more than you to break that.

[ no, it really won't, and keith probably knows that too. lance has admittedly picked all the paladin's brains a little during the melds, but he's never specifically gone looking for sexual experience. (if anything, most of his picking on keith's brain was for his thoughts on shiro or lance).

but lance looks at keith as he looks at his stuff - his dwindling supply of human products and potential alien replacements - and then when keith speaks he raises a hand to rub the back of his head. ]

Yeah, I'm sure. I mean, you don't have to if you're not, though.

[ lance isn't a total asshole. ]

I am, I just mean -- [Is Lance sure about him? Aside from being Keith, now they all know he's part Galra. And while they Princess may have come to terms with it in time, it's still something heavy to accept. He just isn't sure Lance has considered implications of what they're thinking about - but maybe Keith is reading too into it now that his head's not floundering in loss.

He could actually gain something here - something intimate and nice for once in his life.

Keith finally looks away from Lance's things directly to Lance, those purple Galra eyes intense and unwavering. But something behind them a little different.] I mean are you sure about me.

[Lance has always been about women. Everyone knows that. He just wants to be sure Lance is sure.]

[ all right, it's a fair enough question. even though lance's first thought is indignation, a little bit, but before he can be snappy keith looks at him and lance bites his tongue, folding his arms. ]

I am. You're still you, Keith. [ well, he's guessing this is being about part galran, but also - ] I've kinda chased your shadow for a while, but even Hunk used to say I was a little.. intense about it.

[ well, embarrassed to admit that. ]

So I didn't exactly think this would happen - but yeah, I'm sure I want it to.

[whatsacactus]

[if Lance is sure, then he's sure. Keith straightens, readies himself and moves to be right in front of Lance and then--

He's lost most of the momentum from before. Crap. How do they get that back without destroying Lance's room sparring again.]

[ oh my god. lance unfolds his arms in preparation and then keith just stands there, looking unsure. lance actually rolls his eyes a little, but he doesn't say anything mean, just steps forward.

this time his hands rest on keith's shoulders, pulling him forward and into lance. his mouth is quick to press against keith's, and he isn't shy this time, letting his tongue press against keith's lips. ]

[whatsacactus]

[He is one hundred percent about to protest before Lance pulls him in, all the annoyance down to a noise against his lips. He isn't entirely sure what to do with his hands since they're not on the floor like before so-- maybe? Against his waist? That seems right, holding Lance's waist when he parts his lips.

Lance isn't pulling punches now, so neither does he. Keith almost shoves himself forward on his side of the kiss, urging them on.]

[ that makes two of them with the hand issue, at least. he gets the feeling if he tried to grab keith's ass he'd get kneed in the balls - just a feeling - so he mirrors keith after a moment, hands coming to rest on his waist.

keith pushes forward in kind and that's more like both of them. daring each other to go farther, do more, and lance absolutely raises to that. he slides his tongue against keith's bottom lip, then inside his mouth. ]

[He wants to go further, but there's a door behind Lance in their way. So logic would state they should relocate somewhere else. Probably Lance's bed. But his tongue is breaking through and Keith licks at its underside experimentally and it's weird? That's weird but nice too and he is definitely going to keep the fact that this is his first kiss as far away from their mind-melding as he can later. He is never letting Lance have that satisfaction.

What he will let him have is how he tilts his head to get closer, shift a leg between Lance's pressing him against the door.]

[ it's not like lance has too many kisses on top of keith at least, so any fumbling they may do isn't going to stick out like a sore thumb.

and oh hey, tongue in his mouth too. lance twists his tongue a little, rubbing them together - he remembers that felt good before, and still does. it's always weird but makes everything a bit tingly.

keith pushing him against the door has lance emitting a small noise, especially when that leg slides between his. he kind of... assumed he'd be the one doing the pushing around but this is still nice. he lets his hands slide down to keith's lower back, but not going further. ]

same tho final exam tomorrow morning for me at work

[That gets a fairly unseemly noise out of him; he closes his eyes and sinks into the feeling, not. really knowing how to do something half-asssed. All in or not at all. But even he can't ignore his own thoughts of this is probably the same height difference as Shiro and he finally has to break away to get a breath, keeps his head down.

He thumbs at Lance's side idly for a minute, just thinking that thought over. He could've had this with Shiro if he'd just gone for it. Maybe things might've turned out differently. Maybe maybe maybe.

Can't think about it, that was the whole point of this. He looks back up, his voice dry as a desert.]

So why exactly did you roll your eyes?

[ keith pulls away and lance follows for a second, but keith looks down and lance keeps his hands on his back, just watching the top of keith's head. he kinda wants to ask why he stopped but hey, maybe keith's overwhelmed?

so lance just watches, his thumb finally rubbing against the back of keith's shirt before keith raises his head again. ]

I was a little surprised you didn't just kiss me. [ lance was just being an asshole is all. ]

[whatsacactus]

[It's not like Lance has to know he made a split second comparison there. It's just them, making out together, maybe more if Keith doesn't fuck it up. He is overwhelmed, in a lot of ways.]

This just uh. It's kinda new, so not sure what I should be doing. [The closest thing he'll come to an admission that this is his first time doing anything like this.] Standing up is probably not the best idea. From what I hear. Anyway.

[ keith may not admit it but lance hears the implication. he could say, me too but he doesn't, instead looking at keith with his head tilted for a moment. ]

Yeah, it usually does, although walls can be fun too. C'mon. [ lance uses his hold on keith to nudge him back towards the bed. he doesn't try to multitask and kiss, but his hands stay on keith until they're near and then he gives keith a gentler shove down towards the bed. ]

Gotta say, you look good against blue sheets. [ a little goading, to put them on even footing. ]

[Keith can't even comprehend how walls can be fun considering the activity, but he falls back onto the bed with a little whmp and watches him.

And then his expression hardens just a lil.]

Where'd you even get blue sheets? All I've got are gray.

Okay, maybe they were gray before and I dumped some dye in them.

[ lance says it with a continued tone of smugness, then pulls his jacket off a little bit. after a moment's consideration, he also does away with the shirt he's wearing too.

look, he's not saying he's gonna strip all the way but he does work out and maybe he wants it admired, okay. he climbs onto the bed after he's discarded both articles of clothing, kneeling easily over keith. ]

So... come here often?

[whatsacactus]

Of course you did.

[Oh but-- okay Lance is going to do that, and Keith almost feels like he isn't allowed to look, so he glances away. But. Glances back at him from the corner of his eye; he didn't really get a good look when they were searching for the pool before but he was sorting out the whole maybe-I'm-a-galra thing and didn't feel up for oggling.

But if they're doing this, then heshould be allowed. He should be allowed all night, damn it. So he looks back, gives him a once over when Lance climbs on top of him and lays back. Just. Instinctively to give some space.]

No, you just invited me in for the first time.

[Keith.]

still, lance snorts a little laugh, his shoulders jumping up a bit as he does it. ]

You don't have to take it so literally.

[ but lance leans down to kiss keith again, moving one hand to curl against his cheek. hey, it worked pretty well the first time.

the other hand moves to rest on keith's stomach, fingers touching the hem of his shirt. ]

Then how should I-- [OH. That. That's how. Keith shifts so his legs are hanging over the side of the bed between Lance's now, way more comfortable and he... He's ok to do this right? It's okay to touch at Lance's bare sides and actually get to feel that skin? Because it's nice and he definitely likes it.

God, but getting back to where they were before, he leans up against him, actually moves to pull Lance down on top of him because now he's being greedy and feels like he's allowed.]

[ lance definitely encourages keith touching him, even if it's only to lean into the touch like he doesn't get it enough. and to be fair, he's never gotten this far with another person so... he hasn't.

but he doesn't need to be told twice when keith pulls on him, letting his weight rest on keith, pressing them chest to hip, one leg between keith's. he opens his mouth again, quick to deepen the kiss, and skims his fingers up under the hem of keith's shirt, feeling the skin there and flattening his palm against his side. ]

[Well, if he's going into this, he's going all in. He shifts and tries to shimmy out of his shirt so they're on the same level again. Plus it. Feels nice having Lance's hand on his stomach? It's new and nice and if there's more skin there, then it'll happen more.

The noise that comes out of him is not normal Keith though, and that's all new going right into Lance's mouth when he moves just right and rubs against Lance's leg.]

[ shirtless keith is good, lance is definitely on board with this. he moves enough to help keith pull it off, or at least to get it halfway pushed up so he can drop his hand back down, this time to his side.

keith making those noises though, however muffled, make lance push his own hips down against keith's leg. not that he wasn't already hard, but now it's just painful.

his kiss goes a little unsteady because of it, mouth drawing away and pressing against keith's cheek instead. ]
