[It's been months now since the truth came out. And of course there had to be adjustments made. Ways of thinking changed, different views on Tadashi, now as a member of the family and not just a mentor and professor. He was becoming an integral part of their lives now. It was hard sometimes for him not to slip up and forget which timeline he was in, sometimes making a joke at Hiro about something that happened with his Hiro, only to have to spend a solid two hours explaining the context and full story when asked.

But it's nice. It's nice having a second chance with his parents. To get to know them as people instead of 'mom and dad', and for them to see who he became and hope these versions can be just as proud as his own would have been.

Christmas though. Christmas is new. He'd only been spending it with Callaghan and Abigail since he arrived here, and the realization that now he has two families to spend it with, while nice, may be a bit awkward. Seeing as he still hasn't introduced them to his 'partner'.

A bridge to cross when they get there. For now, baby steps. Like remembering to grab his dessert dish on the way out of his apartment to go to their house. Making sure he at least looks put-together when he knocks, arm full of gifts.]

Good. You're coming whether you want to or not.

[ Hiro bounds over to the door to the garage. And pauses there, suddenly nervous. He's been working so hard on this. What if Tadashi doesn't like it? ]

tmw I forget I'm 3 hours behind you now whoops

[tadeadshi]

Oh, am I?

[He sounds more amused than anything, but he's ready to see whatever it is. He knows hiro's been working on something outside their tutoring sessions so he's glad to see it.

But then Hiro pauses and.. Well. Tadashi puts a hand on his shoulder, light enough he can pull away if he doesn't want Tadashi doing that.]

After you. Whenever you're ready.

IT'S ALL GOOD

[microbrobotics]

[ Hiro looks back at his brother, a bit shy. But he's grateful for the support there. ]

Okay. He's right in here ...

[ Hiro swings open the door to show ... Baymax sitting quietly on a bench in the garage, wires seemingly sprouting out of him. He isn't finished - and Hiro hasn't quite figured out the inflatable body thing, so he looks a bit too bulbous - but it's Baymax. He blinks placidly over at Tadashi.

Meanwhile, Hiro dances over to him nervously. ]

Well?

[tadeadshi]

[He steps in and then stops. Sees the mess of wires but what is obviously intended to be a rebuild of his robot.

"Oh shit" is the first thing that comes to mind. But since it's a considerably younger Hiro, he rephreases:] Holy crap. Hiro, it's--

[He steps closer, a hand hesitating just over touching it but never following through. Leans this way and that to look closer at it.]

You did this?

[microbrobotics]

[ Hiro is practically vibrating in place here. Watching his brother for every slight twitch in his expression. ]

Uh huh. With the stuff I learned over the summer. And at school.

[tadeadshi]

[Tadashi finally looks back to him, smiles proudly.]

It's really great. You built it faster than I did the first time.

[microbrobotics]

[ He relaxes a little to see that Tadashi likes it. ]

Yeah? How long'd it take you?

[tadeadshi]

[He smiles a little more at Hiro relaxing. That makes it easier.]

Years. I had a lot of studying to put in first before I could even start brainstorming.

[microbrobotics]

Good thing I'm a genius, huh?

[tadeadshi]

I guess so! [He does ruffle his hair some, now that they've gotten a little more used to that. He's proud Hiro's gotten this far.]

I know you'll finish him great.
